We. Came here in 2000 with our two teen boys. Was Perfect. Beautiful, Very peaceful! Just what we needed. Went snowmobiling, snowshoeing. Loved Lake placid. Lots to do there. They both mentioned they wanted to go back. Fine years later we did with 3 grandchildren. All they have talked about is wanting to go back to the cabin. They had a blast. So we are coming back this year. LOVE IT

Fun tour, but a little underwhelming for a "Great Camp". Probably the nicest place to stay north of Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks. Would be a great place for a wedding.

came here for a weekend for my birthday last year and it was SUPERB. i am a mere 21 years old working food service and my boyfriend and i were easily able to afford staying here for two nights. such a nice campground, the water, the woodseyness and everything was wonderful and peaceful, it is the perfect escape out of the real world. staff was very nice and helpful to get a feel for local activities. absolutely planning on coming back again this year, i tell anyone needing a getaway about this place.

The two hour tour of this "great camp" that was once the summer White House for CLvin Coolidge is intersting.

Close enough to everything but yet far enough away to feel secluded! Loved the little amenities, from the kayak to the tea room and old fashioned bowling alley. I liked that it felt like I was stepping back in time but still had modern amenities like electricity. I was so glad that there are no TV's in the cabins. Let the cares of the world melt away.
